1.Choose a world city and produce a line drawing of it’s skyline using perspective.
Using your window as the frame – produce a drawing of a window frame and the view you can see, draw the perspective that you can see, and try to show the shape and texture of what you can see using tone.
2.Produce a coloured drawing of a view of your favorite city in the style of artist Charles Sheeler.
Decide if you are going to use perspective or not, choose your composition, draw your chosen city simplifying detail to give your work a modern look. Look at Sheelers work – choose an appropriate painting and use the same colours.
3.Research linoprinting.
In your sketchbook present your findings, what is linoprinting? what are the techniques involved? how could this technique answer your design brief? what materials are used? show your understanding of the process, use your own words, you may choose to add illustrations or photographs to make your understanding clear.
